Follow Up Motivation

I am the motivation artisit and I am going to show you how to get motivated and do wonderous things in your business.

I have been motivating people for many years and my methods are the way of the world.

Smile your on candid camera. This is not the way you should look to be motivated.

I do not need motivation as I figured that out many years ago. If you need to be motivated then you are in the wrong business. I am sure you have been told to look in the mirror and tell yourself “you are a great person and people like you” smile and go to the office and smile while you are on the phone it comes through on the other end. That is a bunch of B.S. and you know it as well as I do.

When I do the calling I become another time taker and they want to get me off the phone as soon as possible. Look you should be the expert in your business and they will call you if you position yourself to be the expert. I remember when I had a wireless company and a company that I sold for opened a store within a half a mile of my location.

My store did all repairs and installed all types of extras that were available, but the company store did not do anything but sell product. They would sell a case for a phone and could not install it and would send the customer to me for me to install. Now can you believe that they expected me to do this for free?

You guessed it I called the company and explained that if they send me customers to install equipment then they could expect to be charged for my expert installation. I positioned myself as the expert in sales and installation and soon they could not compete with me in that area. You can position yourself as an expert and have people call you, but you need to be very knowledgeable and know your product.

Motivation comes from necessity and not from speakers telling how to make you feel better about yourself. You know who you are and what it is going to take for you to get the job done. If you are in the sales business, you should be self motivated and secure enough in yourself to learn what needs to be done.

You are on the front line in the world of business and you need to accept the responsibility for being there. It is a decision that you have made and sales is an honorable position to have full of rewards and responsibilities. Salespeople are a vital part of any company and if you choose that profession then take the ball and run, you need to score as much and often as possible.
